Joyous Christmas

After yesterday's card using Kristina's create a scene with blended background card design from the Holiday Card Class I went with my own version...
I first stamped my deer, I'm stamping them in bold colours, will try this with red next. I created a mask with a little border to give the deer a die cut look, the tail lost some of its stickiness with my blending going over it a hundred times lol! I used my Bottle Brush trees for the background scene, I feel they're not too dark I've added a sprinkling of sparkle with the shine stamp in the set, love the atmospheric look!
I stamped the sentiment and added the holly image form the Reindeer Fusions set. Love how well these two sets work together!

Wonderful Christmas

I was having a go at Kristina's create a scene with blended background card design from the Holiday Card Class
I used my Bottle Brush trees, I feel they're a little dark but love the atmospheric look!
I heat embossed the sentiment on vellum and attached using an old Christmas clip I've had for many years!

CAS Christmas cards...

I cannot believe is so near to December, arrgh!!! this month is flying by, I'm still keeping up with Christmas card making...
I was trying some Clean and simple designs for him and her...
I'm not overly pleased with how these turned out, but like little parts of the cards...
Love the ribbed knit background for the trees and the sparkly tree tops.
This is the same as the blue version but in pink, they are quick to make, the stamping and coloured strip at the bottom are one layer.
The die cut tree from a layer of card on dimensional adhesive.
I've used the sentiment from the Bottle Brush Tree stamp set.

Thanks for stopping by, hope you have a very creative day!

More Christmas inspiration

Welcome to my next batch of Christmas card making,
I've been waiting to colour this adorable deer from reindeer fusions set.
I coloured him in with copics, I managed to colour four at the same time, I have added a little glossy accents to his nose and bell to give extra shine. It took a little time to fussy cut but well worth it!
The sentiment I used is from Dillon Magic stamp set, the background although embossed was a little plain so I added some washi tape and bell embellishment to the top corner, so it actually jingles.

Thanks for stopping by, have a wonderfully creative day with your Christmas cards!

Christmas Tree cards...

Hello wonderful crafters,
just a quick example of some fun coloured trees to add to your card making ideas...
You could go tradition greens like the first example or maybe blue like Steve's example or one of my favourites the pink tree...

This was surprisingly easy to mass produce I managed to stamp four tree topper images at the same time, using my Bottle Brush Tree stamp set.
Notice the layers of pinks to get depth to the tree, very easy to reproduce by rubbing away some of the ink on the sides of the inked tree and restamping in a darker colour. I've used the shine image from the set and stamped in white ink on top of the baubles for an extra glisten.
then I brought out the ribbed background stamp for a festive background, the sentiment is also included in the stamp set too.

Pop back tomorrow for some more Christmas card examples...
Thanks for stopping by have a wonderfully creative day,

Paperangel Tutorial kit and stamps

Hello wonderful crafters...
you may recognise this angel? I created it some time ago now,
So, introducing An Angel of Faith, Hope, Wishes and Dreams... what I've designed is a Paperangel kit... it's a tutorial booklet where you will find step by step photos and written instructions to help you create your very own special Paperangel.
You will also receive detailed images to compliment the kit, the Paperangel includes two dress styles, two faces, six hair styles, sleeves and three styles of wings. Along with the booklet and templates is a cd rom with the instructions and templates ready to print, very useful for printing directly onto sticky back canvas or patterned papers, it also means you have the option to rescale the angel to your liking.

To compliment the tutorial I have designed the angel images into a stamp set...
The is a large A4 set, it includes the two dress styles, two faces, six hair styles, sleeves and three styles of wings. They are a smaller scale then the templates in the book but make adorable sized angels, they can fit on a card or scrapbook page, or as the examples mini stand alone angels...
She stands approximately 6" tall. I applied stickles to the vellum wings which made them curl a bit.
Chris created this adorable angel, using her own artist flair,
she's made the wings so delicate looking, a beautiful Christmas angel.
Here are the angel's side by side to give you an idea of the scale.

The Details:
  • The Book and CD will be available for purchase from today.
  • It will retail for £10

New Stamps in Shop (Picture heavy post)

Hello everyone, thought I would let you know I've added a couple of new stamp sets to the shop... For those who stopped by at the NEC stand will no doubt have seen these but for those who haven't
here goes...

Introducing Reindeer Fusions, a stamp set that includes different styles, cute, vintage, arty or elegant, a little taste of everything because we love to make cards for others. My inspiration came from the little reindeer ornaments I distinctly remember as a child that gave me that wonderful warm christmassy feeling, I wanted to capture the cuteness of deers with their stunning expressions.

Next is Bottle Brush Trees, so named as I tried to replicate the bottle brush look that's so familiar to most of us! This is a builder set you can start with the central wire and log stand, build the tree tops over with baubles and stars and glistening shines. This set offers so much fun and creativity to your Christmas stamping I can't wait to get my Christmas cards done, especially with these two sets combined... see for your self with the gorgeous samples below...

I went for a DL sized card laid on its side as I wanted a landscape scene... I stamped the three step fawn first, masked him and the ground with frisket film and stamped away using the speckled tree with versamark, chalks and pigment inks.
I just had to add glitter and shine to finish.
Love Simonne's scene here, so rich and elegant, the rolling snow drifts look spectacular and the mini trees really give perspective.
Tee hee Chris and I had fun trying to come up with some fun card ideas, Chris did a fantastic creation, you could just image this cutie deer munching your lovingly decorated tree!!!
Here's a gorgeously elegant card from Simonne, the black and white really work!!!
Chris created a fabulous tree here, I definitely have to try this version with the tall wire stand.
Chris used some of the mini images in the two sets to create this gorgeous wreath.
And a tag fit for any gift, I love the use of the reindeer names for the background pattern.

I hope you feel inspired to create some Christmas projects of your own, I would love to see. either pop a comment here or the Facebook page.

Have a wonderfully creative day
