Craft Stamper Stamping Contrasts and a giveaway

I got my copy of Craft Stamper this month...
and I supplied three designers with the Oriental Zen set for the Stamping Contrasts feature and WOW was blown over with the stunning creations!!!
I was so impressed with Elizabeth Borer's very oriental colour scheme and the work that went into her frame and wall hanging is outstanding. Hoping she will have a blog soon to share more of her wonderful work, She also featured on the front cover!

Then onto Gail Milburn's use of the set, I loved the decorative band she created topped with the peony really was striking, then followed through to the tag really showed how versatile this set can be.

Jean Franks Beck was so clever with the use of the seigaiha image stamped onto patterned paper, gorgeous scallops and I love the theme leaning to the shabby chic, it worked so well.

I created a little Oriental lantern with die cut frame and embossing with the tarnished metal technique and stamped vellum inserts. I also made a card to co-ordinate... here's a sneak look.
Thank you ladies for inspiring me again to get my set out and create something new! It's by using limited supplies you can really stretch your creativity as well as your budget! Which brings me to the giveaway...

Christmas cards - Chris

Hi everyone and Happy New Year! I hope you had a great festive season if you celebrate and I wish you all the best for 2014.

As I haven't been able to blog over Christmas I thought I'd share a couple of cards I made with gorgeous Paperbabe stamps before it's too late!

I used the really lovely Paperbabe Stamp set Bottle Brush Trees which I know will be a timeless Christmas set and I also used the lovely reindeer names text stamp from the Reindeer Fusions stamp set, another gorgeous vintage set to suit any taste. Lots of pretty golden shimmer in this one from Heirloom Gold perfect pearls dropped into water spritzed distress ink which I dragged my card through and I added a snowy feel with a spritz of white Dylusions spray ink.

My second card uses one of the element stamps from Reindeer Fusions, I love the ever useful element stamps that Kim always includes in her sets. The little star was stamped using pearly Brilliance ink over a stenciled background.

The snowflake is a Spellbinders die cut coloured with gelato sticks. I made a series of these cards in slightly different colourways and they were nice and quick to make up.

Have a great weekend.
